Robert Cotton with Mucho Mojo at Residence Würtzburg
It was a great evening of Traditional Blues on 18 November, 2017 at the Würtzburg Residence Rot Wein Keller in Würtzburg German. A marithon session, 5 HOURS, of tradiional Blues!
The house was overflowing with young and old Blues lovers. As you may know, Würtzburg is a beautiful historical university town. Before the show the Blues lovers were lining up outside.
By starting time, the caverns of the Rot Wein keller were packed with Blues lovers like sardines in a can! There was a nice mix of seasoned Blues lovers and the young college crowd to keep the whole night on the edge.
The crowd keep getting larger and larger. we had to keep moving closer and closer together, moving the microphones, Amplifiers and ourselves closer and closer together. By the end of the night, The players barely had enough room to move! But it was great fun, and another great venue to play the Blues.
Love All……….

Mucho Mojo featuring Robert Cotton at Bürgerbräu Wartburg
Hello Blues fans!
I had the pleasure of Singing with Wurtzburgs own Mucho Mojo on 17 July at the Bürgerbräu Festival.
The beautiful facility was rescued from demolition by a local architect / entrepreneur. Its the site of an old brewery that had been closed for years. the facility has many small connected buildings that offer a park, various social, bar, restaurant and other accommodations. Large concert hall and smaller party rooms to rent. Just a beautiful facility.
On this occasion we were invited to perform at the first annual Burgerbräu Festival. It was a beautiful summer day. Wonderful for an outside concert. Plenty of seating, good beer, good food and various bands offering music to satisfy every one’s palate.
Thanks to all the blues fans in attendants. It was nice to have had the opportunity to talk with some of you.
Love All……….
…………Love the Blues more.
until next time… Robert Cotton
Greetings real Blues fans, Robert Cotton is Back in Town
After a brilliant two year “mission” to one of the greatest music cities of world, New Orleans Louisiana, meeting and performing with some of the worlds best Blues musicians, my road has taken me to the Beautiful city of Würtzburg Germany. Since returning to Germany in late 2016, I have been putting the pieces of The Fabulous Robert Cotton Band back together. Meeting musicians, talking to club owners, making good friends, and at every opportunity, getting on stage to perform my Blues.
Currently I am involved in three distinctive Blues projects.. “ The Fabulous Robert Cotton Band” bringing an energized mix of Chicago and Texas blues influences to the stage. “Mucho Mojo” a traditional Blues project performing pre 1963, predominately Harmonica based Blues to which I contribute Robert Cotton vocals and guitar. ” Robert Cotton Solo / Duo” a combination of harmonica, National Resonator guitar, acoustic/electric guitars and the soulful Robert Cotton vocals. Great for the lounge environment. Select the “On Tour” icon to see where the next Robert Cotton performance is near you. I look forward to seeing you there!

The Occasion?
40th Birthday Celebration of the “United Democratic Jurists”.
They came to Frankfurt Literature House from around Deutschland to celebrate and Honor the spirit of their union.
Although, it was not only party, party, party for the Juristen. After a full day of meetings and discussion, the guests were eager to kick back, enjoy some delicious food, fine wine and house rocking Blues.
Our host Manfred invited The Fabulous Robert Cotton Band to partake in the cuisine prepared and offered by the staff at Literature House. I can say that I fully enjoyed my share of all the “tasty Treats ” offered……. OK, perhaps more than my share.
Then it was “Time to Play the Blues!” 2 Hours of Jumpin, House Rocking Blues delivered by The Fabulous Robert Cotton Band ….the only way we know how….”Full Temperature!” and “Cooked to Perfection!” Following the 2 hour course of “Blues a la “The Fabulous Robert Cotton band”, we invited a couple of the Jusristen who enjoy chopping the Axe to come on stage to play guitar and sing with the band. The audience was astonished to learn that their colleagues, people they have known for years, had such passion and talent beyond the scope of “Juristen”. It was wonderful to watch the expressions and positive reactions from the audience as their colleagues “showed their stuff”.
In conclusion, it was a wonderful night of Live Blues. We enjoyed meeting and talking to you all and look forward to playing our Blues for and with you again soon.
If you would like to view some additional pictures from the party, just go to Pictures and click on “Juristen Party.” There you can also down load pictures you would like to have for yourself.
Thanks Manfred, thanks Verreinigung demokratischer Juristen!
“Guitar Meister” Greg Koch in Frankfurt
“Guitar God, Telecaster Master, and all around good guy” … Greg Koch is on tour in Europe at the moment. I had the pleasure of meeting and talking with him and his band at the newmusic .academy in Frankfurt offenbach. Amazing Musicians and a great bunch of guys. It was refreshing to be reminded of the relaxed and friendly American way of doing things …
He is simply amazing! In the course of the 1 1/2 hour seminar he went through guitar techniques, equipment discussion, band organization all with the standard Greg Koch humor. Greg talked about, and demonstrated some really interesting and some bizzar guitar techniques. His knowledge and ability to present popular guitar players techniques as though the artist was there with us in the room is just… “inhuman.” Thanks Greg, keep giving us that great Koch guitar! We’re all watching and learning.
